# The Druid

The Druid

Under the crescent moon, he stood. Gazing up at the sky. He could never feel alone out here. This was his element by choice. The wind was greeting him with a low whistled through the trees; he took a deep bow and smiled in gratification.

And so he heard her, the swishing sound of her wings, and out from the shadows she came, calling his name. Bran lifted his right hand, and the raven found home at his side.

In this very moment, he felt as though his soul was completed.

His journey of the night, was about to start. And so he began to walk deeper into the forest. The raven sat quiet, now on his shoulder. He could feel her warmth against his cheek. He knew that her pitch black eyes were watching out for him, and he felt safe in her tender care.

The path he found was made by nature on her own, and he became exited, thinking about were she wanted to lead him tonight. Mother earth was always gentle to him, but she knew the secrets of his heart and soul. So the way that she showed him, would always be satisfying... that he could rest upon.

Like giants of the dark, the trees seemed to grasp for the stars, and the treetops swung with the winds. Bran felt so alive, and almost like she had read his mind, the raven called out her cry. And in a moment of euphoric feelings he drew his sword, and the moon found her reflection in Masonics beautiful blade.

Bran knew that this was going to be one special night.

As he went deeper into the very core of nature, his heart began to beat faster, as he could sense the presence of the forests magical inhabitants. This had been his long, loved dream. To be able to see, hear and know them by heart. It was as if Mother Nature had granted him this gift...at last. He noticed a glade in the trees in front of him, and moved closer as quiet as he could. The raven took for the sky and spread her wings. Bran was as astonished as always, that she could be so silent in her flight. He also knew that she would come back; she was as much a part of him as he was of her.

The glare opened up to be a flower field. He was amazed to find a field so far into the forest, and even more when he saw the flowers. He had never in his life seen such beautiful flowers. The colours were deep and shiny, sparkled like jewels in the moonlight. He stood there, and just tried to embrace the moment. Then suddenly he saw her, she came out from the forest on the other side of the field. It looked almost like she floated over the grass. So gracefully, like the queen of the night. Her face so captivating, like she came straight out from a fairytale.

She wore a deep blue dress and blue ribbons in her long chestnut hair. He found himself being able to see all the details, as if she would have been close by. Then she stooped and sat down, in the middle of the field. She lifted her hands to the sky and began to sing. Her voice filled his head with its softness and he closed his eyes. Her song took him even deeper into fulfilment. The love he felt was so strong that tears fell from his eyes, like rain from a grey sky. He opened his eyes to follow their journey to the ground and saw that in the instant that they touched the grass by his feet, they turned into flowers too. "Now you know" said a soft voice and he looked up. The light elf smiled at him and took his face between her hands. "You see, it has been so many years since mankind heard our song, but when they did, their souls created these beautiful flowers. As a reminder that the essence of you, your kind...is pure and good. Now Bran" her voice became pleading, "go back to your world, and tell your fellow beings to stop, and listen to their hearts and true nature. Only then can us creatures of the green walk the earth once more.

Bran wanted to answer, but the light elf put one finger on his mouth and smiled once more. "There is no need Bran" she said in a low voice. My trust is in you, now go". She backed away slowly and Bran turned his back on her, and faced the dark forest awaiting him.  He felt enchanted, moved by her magical spell. He wanted to say something but the words were gone.  Even though, he turned around and opened his mouth, but where the light elf had been were only an empty glare. And the flower field was nowhere to be found. He felt confused and started to question his own sense. The moment had seemed to be an eternity, but now it felt like an inch of a moment. He shook his head and started to laugh. "Dream or reality" he thought, "It doesn't matter, I now have a mission"   He started to run, eager to get back to the world outside. And while he was running, he could hear the raven cry out his name for the night.

HAH HAH just det!
